Mode of Action:
Oxyclozanide kills the flukes by uncoupling of oxidative phosphorylation in the fluke. Oxyclozanide causes a rapid (0.5 hr.) spastic paralysis of the fluke. Oxyvlozanide quickly reaches its peak concentration in the blood after treatment and its excretion is equally rapid. Therefore Oxyclzanide is effective against the fluke resistance to other Salysalinides e.g. Rafoxanide and Closantel.
